In Grove Oklahoma April 16th, Bailey won Winners Dog for his first two points.

Thank you judge Mrs H "Toddie" Clark for the placement and to Daniel Goebel for the handling.

On Tuesday April 19th, at the Papillon Nationals in Chattanooga Tn, Bailey was shown by Daniel Goebel.  I did not get to go watch, but I was told that not only did Bailey make the final cut, he was sitting in 4th place momentarily.  I was told that the judge was having some difficulty making her decision for which dog to put in the 4th place slot, and decided to examine them again, he and the dog that stood behind him.  Bailey did not appreciate this after waiting so long for his turn the first time and would not let the judge examine him, so the dog behind him was moved forward, winning the 4th place ribbon in the class of 19.

Though I was disappointed at coming so close and not quite making it, the fact that I owned a dog that made the final cut really feels like an affirmation of what I am working toward..  And the fact that he was so slimly beat by one of the dogs that I admire most is quite wonderful as well!

On Saturday May 7th, 2011, Bailey won Best of Breed, then went on to place 2nd in the group ring.  The dog that beat Bailey in group went on to win Best in Show!  This was not my first time in the the group ring, but it was my first group placement and I could not have been more thrilled!

Sunday May 8th, Bailey won Best of Breed again, however, he would not gait for the judge, therefore he did not place in group this time.  This was only his 5th weekend out, and I could not be more impressed.
